Age Concern Birmingham
Birmingham

We have an exciting opportunity to join our local charity managing our popular community cafes and wider food service offerings.

The Café Manager will be responsible for overseeing our two Communitea Cafes and the light bite offerings provided at our day care centres. Age Concern Birmingham has an established cafe on Boldmere high street, as well as our newer café situated within Hawkesley Community Centre in Kings Norton.

This role is ideal for someone who is both passionate about food as well as delivering excellent service and making sure that every customer counts.

We are looking for a confident manager, with the ability to lead by example, who can develop the charity’s café teams and day care cooks to deliver great value meals to our customers.

Ours cafes are warm and welcoming with a personal touch where you not only can buy a cup of freshly ground coffee and a toastie, but also attend socially meaningful groups and activities. This is key to what makes us different and we’re extremely proud of what we offer.

In return, you can expect a competitive salary, additional leave allowance, onsite free parking at both café sites, flexible working and access to a wellbeing programme via Perkbox. This is a role with no late nights or Sunday opening, offering you a work-life balance within the catering industry.

Age Concern Birmingham holds an Investors in People Sliver accreditation.
