Day Opportunities Connections Co-ordinator

This is a co-ordinator position supporting the service manager in the day to day running of our day care offer and connections activity team, proving activities within day care and externally.

It is an opportunity for a confident individual and we would like to hear from candidates who are highly motivated, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment

 

You will be co-ordinating under the guidance of the service manager, a dedicated team of staff who have citizens emotional and physical wellbeing at the core of all they do.  You will plan and deliver a range of activities across our day centres and within other community buildings, and on a 1-1 basis within our clients home across Birmingham.  You will provide support by encouraging their participation in meaningful activities as well as providing support and companionship.

 

You will create stimulating, welcoming and social environments with a focus on independence, wellbeing, reducing isolation and increasing social participation in their community.

Key tasks include:

  • Effective leadership of a team promoting excellent customer service
  • Compiling rotas and work allocation, and encouraging and supporting professional development of the team
  • Manage the gathering of data and statistics relating to the service, ensuring that the database is kept up to date and to produce regular figures and reports in response to requests both internally and externally.
  • Establishing and maintaining existing relationships with internal and external bodies
  • Oversee day care in the absence of the manager
