Age Concern Birmingham is a local charity supporting older people and others in need across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. We offer a range of quality services from day care, carers support to running community café hubs, and specialised support for those experiencing dementia, isolation and loneliness. We aim to develop and adapt services to the changing needs of our community with a flexible approach to service delivery.

Job Summary

The Development, Partnerships and Communications Manager will have the responsibility to lead on fund raising and tender opportunities, assisting the CEO and working alongside the Leadership Team in developing and implementing quality services.

The responsibilities of the Development, Partnerships and Communications Manager will encompass the leadership on business development, communications, innovative funding and partnerships of various kinds. This is a wide-ranging strategic role that requires excellent motivation and time management skills with the ability to multi task and manage a range of commitments.

The post of Development, Partnerships and Communications Manager will play a key role in the development of the organisation, by generating income, raising its profile, reaching new partners and increasing opportunities.

To lead on and identify developments and opportunities through tender/ bid writing, fund raising, developing partnerships, communications and promotion.

Co-ordinating social platforms and taking a lead on e-communications, digital and fundraising activities.

Developing applications, developing and strengthening networks, increasing funds and donations to the charity.

Hours of Work:        

 37.5 hours a week, working Mon-Fri with occasional evenings and weekends depending on the needs of the role. (Reduction in working hours could be negotiated for salary pro rata for the right candidate)

 Salary:                      

£30,000 per annum

 Location:

Based in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield (working across Birmingham & surrounding areas)
