We have a new and exciting opportunity with in our Neighbourhood Network scheme and are currently looking to recruit a Digital Inclusion Officer on a 12 month contract £22,000 pro rata for 30 hours per week.

Age Concern Birmingham is a local based charity passionate about supporting Older Adults by making a positive difference, adding value to people’s lives by offering services to promote wellbeing and independence.

In 2019, 60.5% of people over the age of 65 in the UK had never used the internet. As more and more services moved online as the pandemic progressed, older people struggled to access up-to-date information and online grocery delivery. Our new and exciting role of Digital Inclusion Officer looks to support the Older Adults of Sutton Coldfield to close this gap.

Our Neighbourhood Network Scheme look to co-produce a great range of community led activities , make opportunities, connect people meaningfully and influence positive change. This role will be responsible for translating our digital inclusion strategy into operational activities, ensuring that we are providing valuable digital inclusion services and activities to older people and local community assets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the digital strategy.
  • Co-ordinate successful delivery of digital inclusion and support services.
  • Maintain a personal caseload of individuals taking part in the programme.
  • Delivering Digital skills workshops
