What we’re looking for

We are seeking a new Board Member with a professional working experience in the legal sector.

We are looking for individuals with a background in the private, public, voluntary or community sectors who can contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of the Association.

Taking account of the range of skills and experience of Age Concern Birmingham’s current Board Members, we hope to further strengthen Board’s skills by bringing in an individual with professional legal experience.

We’re also keen to hear off candidates with other skills, experience and qualities that they feel would bring value to the Board.

The full Board meets four times a year with three committees (Finance and Investment, Governance, Fundraising and HR and Personnel) overseeing and ensuring the ongoing impartial governance of the Trust.

Full Board meetings are held in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield.

Could this be you?

You will have a suitable legal qualification, ideally with skills and experience in, or knowledge of, legal requirements relating to company/charitable law and associated governance and be committed to applying these to help the Trust achieve its aims.

You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of older people and others in need.
